How to love and be loved?

How do we define love? When we are children, our parents usually teach us how to brush our teeth. tie our shoes. When we reach 16 years old we can drive, when we turn 18 we can vote...Their are certain requirements we have to do to either. But, love; where do we learn to learn how to be loved and be loved?

What is your thought

I think we learn to love from everyone around us as we develop in our childhoods. I remember I made a comment to a friend of mine how when I saw 2 guys fighting on the street I said "Wow, they must really love each other" to which he replied, "Thats what you think love is? You sure have a twisted idea about what love is"
When he told me this it made me realize that what I had absorbed as a child I was translating and using in my adult life.
I know now that we can always change our point of views, we just need to be re-taught some things as life goes on.
